Writing has always been a big part of my life. It’s not just about putting words on paper—it’s how I express myself, share my thoughts, and connect with others. When I write, I feel free, clear, and happy. No other activity gives me this feeling.
I have been writing for the past 12 years. Every day, I write in my journal. I capture my daily struggles, tasks, and happy moments. Writing helps me understand my life better.
I also wrote for the hotel industry when I worked as their PR. I did it for free because I loved it so much. Writing has given me so much in life. I don’t know about you, but for me, it has been a blessing.
Through writing, I have met amazing people and learned a lot from them. I feel lucky for that.
But you know, before becoming a writer, you must first be a reader. I truly believe that good writing comes from great reading. Over the years, I have built a collection of more than 1,000 books across different genres—business, fiction, non-fiction, spirituality, and mystery. Each book has shaped my thoughts, expanded my imagination, and deepened my understanding of the world. Reading has been my greatest teacher, and it continues to inspire my writing every day.
I strongly encourage you to read books—any books that inspire you, challenge you, and help you grow into a better person. Books have the power to open your mind, spark new ideas, and transform the way you see the world. Whether it’s fiction, business, self-improvement, or spirituality, find what resonates with you and make reading a habit. It will not only improve your knowledge but also shape your thoughts and perspective in ways you never imagined.
Though, you can start writing too. All you need is a pen, a piece of paper, and the courage to express yourself. Many people don’t have that courage, and that’s why not everyone is a writer.
I feel blessed that writing is my profession. It never feels like work—it feels like joy.
Over the years, I have realized that writing is not just a skill but a powerful tool that brings clarity, joy, and purpose into my life.
I haven’t published a book yet, but I will soon. I’m currently working on my first book, and I’m really excited about it. For now, I just write in my diary and online—not to show off, but purely out of love for writing.
One of my favorite authors is Paulo Coelho. I have been dreaming of meeting him in person. He lives in Brazil, and his book The Alchemist is one of the most iconic books ever written. I have read it 100 times, and each time, it gives me a new perspective.
There are so many questions that have come to my mind since reading The Alchemist, and I hope one day, I get the chance to ask Paulo Coelho himself-:)
How Writing Helps Me in Life
1. Writing is My Personal Escape
Life can get overwhelming, and sometimes, it’s hard to talk about certain things. Writing gives me a safe space to pour out my feelings without fear of judgment. Whether it’s journaling, storytelling, or simply scribbling down thoughts, writing allows me to unload my emotions and feel lighter.
I often find that when I put my problems into words, they become easier to understand. It’s like untangling a messy thread in my mind—writing helps me see things from a clearer perspective.
2. Writing Sparks My Creativity
I love how writing allows me to create worlds, characters, and ideas that don’t exist anywhere else. Whether I’m crafting a fictional story or penning a heartfelt blog, writing pushes me to think outside the box.
Creativity isn’t just about making something new—it’s about seeing the world differently. Writing has trained my mind to observe the little details, find inspiration in the ordinary, and turn simple moments into meaningful stories.
3. Writing Connects Me to Others
One of the most beautiful things about writing is its ability to connect people. Words have the power to resonate with others, to comfort, to inspire, and to bring about change.
When I write, I don’t just express myself—I also create something that others can relate to. Whether it’s a blog, an article, or a social media post, my words have the potential to reach someone who might be feeling the same way but didn’t know how to express it.
It’s an incredible feeling when someone reads my work and says, “I needed this today.”
4. Writing Sharpens My Thinking
Writing is like exercising my brain. It forces me to organize my thoughts, structure my ideas, and communicate clearly. The more I write, the better I become at articulating my opinions and making sense of complex topics.
Even in daily life, writing has helped me improve my problem-solving skills. Whenever I’m faced with a challenge, I write down the situation, explore possible solutions, and suddenly, the answer becomes clearer.
5. Writing Helps Me Grow
Every time I write, I learn something new—about myself, about the world, or about the topic I’m exploring. It’s a journey of self-discovery and personal development.
When I look back at my old writings, I see how much I’ve evolved. My thoughts, perspectives, and even my writing style have grown over time. Writing allows me to track my progress and see how far I’ve come.
6. Writing Gives Me a Voice
In a world filled with noise, writing gives me a way to express myself. Sometimes, spoken words don’t come out right, but when I write, I can take my time to form my thoughts, refine my message, and ensure that what I say truly reflects what I feel.
Through writing, I can raise awareness about issues I care about, share my experiences, and contribute my voice to conversations that matter.
7. Writing is a Lifelong Companion
Unlike hobbies that require specific tools or environments, writing is always with me. Whether I have a pen and paper or just my phone, I can write anytime, anywhere. It’s a skill and passion that will stay with me forever.
Writing doesn’t judge, it doesn’t rush, and it doesn’t demand perfection. It simply allows me to be myself, one word at a time.
Conclusion
Writing is not just something I do—it’s a part of who I am. It gives me freedom, joy, and a sense of purpose. It helps me express, connect, learn, and grow.
If you’ve never tried writing for yourself, I encourage you to start. You don’t need to be a professional writer; just pick up a pen, open a blank document, and let your thoughts flow. You might just discover a new passion or even a new side of yourself.
After all, writing is a gift that keeps on giving.
